Track and Field Hall of Fame Inductees Honored with Reunion Tailgate

AMES, Iowa -- The Iowa State track and field program will honor its three hall of fame inductees with a reunion tailgate on Saturday, Sept. 6 at the Iowa State-Ohio football game. Kick-off is at 1 p.m.
Jonah Koech, Karen Glerum and Bob Verbeeck will be inducted into the ISU Hall of Fame during a ceremony on Friday, Sept. 5. This group of track and field hall of fame honorees gathered seven NCAA titles, 14 all-America titles and 20 Big 8 championships. The tailgate will begin at 10 a.m. at the 10th gate north of the Jacobson Building, with Koech and Glerum in attendance. All former cross country and track and field letterwinners are invited and will be able to march onto the football field at halftime of the game.
Letterwinners are asked to meet on the north endzone on the west side of the Jacobson Building with seven minutes remaining in the first half.
Brats, chips and soft drinks will be provided.
