AMES, Iowa - The Cyclones competed against Nebraska in Lincoln Saturday afternoon and fell to the Huskers 115-181. Iowa State came off two victories Friday evening against Nebraska-Omaha and Northern Colorado.
Senior Maggie Peterson placed first in the 100 back with a time of 58.71. Freshman Lindsay Wegner came in a close second place (59.21) and senior Jamie Wieben followed in fourth with a time of 1:00.72.
Freshman Haley Haynes took first place in both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. Haynes tallied 255.76 points on the 1-meter and 261.82 points on the 3-meter.
Senior Kim Rogers touched the wall first in the 200 back with a time of 2:06.54. Senior Maggie Peterson followed Rogers in third place (2:09.03).
Lauren Breunig, junior, finished in first place with a time of 2:08.19 in the 200 IM.
The Cyclone 400 free relay squads finished in first and second place with times of 3:39.34 and 3:56.13.
Iowa State play host to the Kansas Jayhawks Friday, Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. and also on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. The Cyclone seniors will be honored during Saturday's events.
