AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State swimming and diving team fell to the Kansas Jayhawks 59-91 Friday night at Beyer Hall in Ames. The Cyclones will see the Jayhawks again Saturday morning beginning at 10 a.m. where this years nine seniors will be honored.
Senior Kim Rogers took first place in the 150 fly with a time of 1:31.52. Tami Ritchie, senior, followed in fourth place (1:34.86).
Freshman Haley Haynes had an impressive evening winning the 1-meter with 283.80 points. The 3-meter will be held during tomorrow mornings events.
Lauren Breunig, junior, hit the wall first in the 100 IM (59.56), freshman Lindsay Wegner finished in third place with a time of 1:00.80.
Junior Chelsey Walden came in third place in the 800 free (8:11.73), while senior Lydia Smirniotis finished in fourth place with a time of 8:23.53.
The Cyclones honors the 2005-06 seniors prior to the second meeting with the Jayhawks Saturday at 10 a.m. The schedule for the days events are as followed below.
