Swimming and Diving Earns Academic Recognition From CSCAA

AMES, Iowa - Iowa State's swimming and diving team has been recognized by College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for its efforts in the classroom during the 2006 spring semester.
The team earned ?excellent' honors after posting a 3.21 grade point average during the spring semester. In order to achieve ?excellent' honors a team must post a GPA in the range of 3.00 to 3.25.
Individually, three Cyclone seniors were honored as 2006 CSCAA Academic All-American. Maggie Peterson, Kim Rogers and Lydia Smirniotis earned honorable mention recognition during their senior campaigns. To earn this honor, student-athletes must swim to a NCAA Championship meet B Time Standard and have a GPA of 3.50 or above.
