Verona, Wis. ? The ISU women battled adverse weather to finish seventh at the Lady Badger Invitational Monday hosted by the University of Wisconsin. The Cyclones entered today's competition tied for sixth place with Memphis and registered a third-round total of 312. Juniors Kendra Hanson and Karly Pinder shot their best rounds of the tournament as ISU wound up with three golfers in the top-25 individually. The University of Indiana captured the team title by a margin of 10 strokes while Wisconsin's Katie White took home medalist honors after draining a 25-foot birdie chip to win a playoff. Iowa State surpassed last year's finish of ninth at last year's Lady Badger Invitational.

The shotgun start was delayed a half-hour this morning due to 20 mph gusts of wind and course conditions.

True freshman Pennapa Pulsawath finished her first ISU tournament tied for 10^th after firing a final-round 82. The Bangkok, Thailand, native came in to the final round tied for third. Senior Christi Athas duplicated her first round score with a five-over par 77. Athas tied for 23^rd. Hanson paced ISU on the final day with a three-over par 72 as the junior from Forest City finished 19^th. Athas and Hanson placed third and fourth, respectively, this summer at the Iowa Women's State Amateur.

The women's team is off until Oct. 2-3 when it participates at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational in Lawrence, Kan.
