Breunig Ends Career At NCAA Championships

Breunig finished with a time of 49.82, which is just .03 seconds off the school record that she set at the Big 12 Championships. Her 30th place finish was just .01 seconds behind the 29th place swimmer. Breunig improved her finish from a year ago by 11 spots, when she finished 41st with a time of 50.47.
“Lauren swam very well in prelims each day,” said Iowa State head coach Duane Sorenson. “I was very happy with her performances. She is a much better finals swimmer but unfortunately she didn't have the opportunity to compete in the finals.”
