BRYAN, Texas ? Iowa State women's golf team concluded its second tournament of the spring season at the Texas A&M “Mo” Morial Sunday at the Traditions Golf Club. The Cyclones placed 14^th, finishing ahead of Tulsa and Redlands College. Kendra Hanson and Pennapa Pulsawath both shot 9-over par to pace ISU in the third round as it finished with a team total of 974. Arizona State lived up to its billing as the top team in the country with a team title over vaunted national competition like Southern Cal, UCLA, Oklahoma State, Denver, Texas A&M and South Carolina. USC's Paola Moreno captured medalist honors after finishing even in the event with a 216.

Pulsawath, tied for ninth at the end of Friday's first-round action, recorded an 81 to finish at 19-over par and tie for 29^th. The freshman earned five birdies in the tournament and was Iowa State's top finisher for the third time this season.

Hanson saved her best round of the tournament for last, birdying hole nine for the second day in a row. Like Pulsawath, she finished with an 81 and ended with four straight pars after opening with three consecutive bogeys.

Senior Christi Athas remains half a round behind Mary Jo Cunningham for ninth place in the career rounds played list, standing at 105. Athas registered an 82 to wind up tied for 61^st along with teammate Karly Pinder who had an 84 in her final round. Jessica Shin ended with a final round of 85, one round after she carded a 79.

Iowa State will be back in the Lone Star State March 16-18 at the Longhorn Invitational hosted by Texas.
