Cyclones Place 10th at Betsy Rawls Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas?The Iowa State women's golf team fired a final round 322 at the Betsy Rawls Invitational, finishing 10th in the 15-team field. ISU's 322 on Sunday followed a 314 and a 304 in the first two rounds to help the Cyclones shoot 940 in the three-day event. Purdue took home the team title with a 907, followed by second-place TCU at 918.

Junior Karly Pinder paced the Cyclones, tying for 16^th with a three-round 231 tally (75-76-80). It was Pinder's top finish this Spring. Pennepa Pulsawath tied for 20^th, carding ISU's best final round score today with a 79. Pulsawath shot a three-round 233 tally and was the only Cyclone to fire three sub-80 rounds in the tournament (78-76-79). Purdue's Marla Hernandez won medalist honors with a 217 tally, one stroke better than Stacy Lewis of Arkansas at 218.

ISU is back in action, March 24-25 at the Mountainview Invitational in Tucson, Ariz.
