WACO, Texas- The Iowa State women's golf team moved up one spot to 11th place after day two of the 2007 Big 12 Women's Golf Championship in Waco, Texas. The Cyclones carded a 324 today for a two-round 646 tally, one shot ahead of Texas at 647. Oklahoma State leads the team race at 611, followed by Texas A&M at 615.
Karly Pinder, a junior from Exeter, Ontario, is the Cyclones' top performer so far, tying for 32nd after carding an 81 today. Pinder stands at 159 for the two rounds, one shot ahead of Christi Athas, who is tied for 36th at 160 (78-82). Jessica Shin is tied for 42nd (81-82=163) and Pennepa Pulsawath resides in a tie for 47th (85-79=164) after firing ISU's only sub-80 round this afternoon with a 79. Kendra Hanson sits in 59th place at 177.
Kansas' Amanda Costner has a comfortable seven-stroke lead heading into tomorrow's final round, carding an even-par 144 total. Sarah Bradley (Oklahoma State) and Elli Brown (Nebraska) are tied for second at 151.
