AMES, Iowa ? In a final test before entering postseason play, the Iowa State women's golf team will make an appearance in Carmel for the Indiana Invitational April 9-10 at the Crooked Stick Golf Club. Play was originally scheduled for an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start followed by a 9 a.m. opening Tuesday. Due to adverse weather in the area, the field will only play 18 holes with a noon shotgun start tomorrow. The 17-team field will feature eight Big Ten Conference schools and ISU will be facing six teams for the first time this year.
The Cyclones were propelled by junior Karly Pinder's 10th-place finish at their last tournament, the Moutainview Invitational, and Pinder's third of the season. Iowa State recorded its best finish (9th) of the spring campaign and finished all three rounds under 300. ISU has sent out the same starting lineup, Christi Athas, Pinder, Pennapa Pulsawath, Jessica Shin and Kendra Hanson, in all eight events this year.
