Highlands Ranch, Colo. -- The Iowa State women's golf team finished first round action in a tie for seventh place with a score of 304 at the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate on Monday. The second round was suspended due to darkness. All golfers will finish up the remaining holes of their second round and play the third and final round tomorrow.
ISU is just six strokes off the pace of first-place
ISU received a strong showing from senior Karly Pinder, who is tied for fifth after carding a first round 73. True freshman Laurence Herman continued her strong start to her college career after tallying a first round 75. Senior Kendra Hanson, who is coming off her best finish of her collegiate career last weekend at the Lady Badger Invitational, where she took home medalist honors, fired a first round 78 for the Cyclones.
