AMES, Iowa-The Iowa State women's golf team will compete in its third tournament of the fall season at the Purdue Lady Northern Invitational, Oct 18-19 in West Lafayette, Ind. The Cyclones will be one of 14 teams competing in the event, which includes host Purdue, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Toledo and Wisconsin. The tournament will be played on the Kampen Course at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex in West Lafayette. It is a par-72, 6,276-yard layout. Iowa State will play 36 holes on Saturday (Oct. 18) and finish up with the final 18 holes on Sunday (Oct. 19).
The Cyclones return to the course after placing eighth at the Windy City Classic on October 6-7. Sophomore Victoria Stefansen paced the Cyclones, garnering her first career top-10 performance by placing 8th overall. Other Cyclones competing over the weekend are: Pennapa Pulsawath, Kristin Paulson, Rachel Reed and Marincke Gerbranda, who is playing in her first tournament as a Cyclone. Sophomore Laurence Herman will see her first action of the season as an individual.
