ISU Tennis Finishes Up Fall Play at UNM Invitational

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. ? The Iowa State tennis team finished up their fall season Sunday at the New Mexico Invitational. The Cyclones have put together a strong fall campaign, including a number of wins over the last few days in New Mexico.
In singles play Sunday ISU freshman Marie-Christine Chartier swept Air Force's Katrina Eromin 6-0, 6-0. Reka Kelemen also earned a singles win for the Cyclones, defeating UTEP's Ximena Fuentes 6-3, 6-4.
“I am pleased with how the fall season ended,” head coach Armando Espinosa said. “It helped the squad mature and gave us the opportunity to compete against a wide variety of opponents.”
In doubles play Iowa State's Amanda Davis teamed up with Air Force's Eromin. The pair defeated Western New Mexico's Izelle Oliver and Jamie McKenna 8-5.
