Stefansen Leads ISU in First Day of Windy City Classic

SKOKIE, Ill.- The Iowa State women's golf team carded rounds of 303 and 310 (613) to sit in a tie for eighth place after the first day of the Windy City Classic in Skokie, Ill. Sophomore Victoria Stefansen is currently in the top 10 after two rounds, tying for ninth with rounds of 74 and 76 (150). Junior Pennapa Pulsawath is only one stroke behind Stefansen after carding two solid rounds of 74 and 77 to sit in a tie for 16th place.
Purdue leads the 13-team field with a total of 591 after day one. Only four strokes separate the next four spots, as Michigan, Oklahoma, Arizona, and TCU round out the top five. The Cyclones started off strong in fifth place after round one, but slipped into a tie for eighth place by the end of the day.
