Pulsawath in First; Cyclones Fourth at Wolfdancer

AUSTIN, Texas- Iowa State women's golfer Pennapa Pulsawath carded a 72 to take sole possession of first place after round one of the Challenge at Wolfdancer in Austin, Texas this afternoon. The tournament was slated for two rounds on Sunday, but rain suspended action in round two. Competitors will finish up their remaining holes in the second round and play an additional 18 holes in round three tomorrow.
As a team, the Cyclones are currently in fourth place in the 16-team field after carding a 316. Idaho is in first place at 306, followed by second-place Colorado (307).
Pulsawath, a junior from Bangkok, Thailand, was the only golfer in the field to shoot even-par. Idaho's Teo Poplawski is one shot back of Pulsawath in the medalist race after firing a 73. ISU's Victoria Stefansen also had a solid showing, shooting a 76 to sit in a tie for eighth place.
