AMES, Iowa- The Iowa State swimming and diving team signed one student-athlete during the early signing period.
Marley Suckow from Olathe-Northwest High School in Olathe, Kan. is the newest addition to the program and head coach Duane Sorenson is excited to have her aboard.
“Marley has really blossomed this last year,” said Sorenson. “She has gotten a lot faster in her 100 and 200 breaststroke. We see a bright future for her, she will add to our depth in the breaststroke, and be a nice complement to Jeli Nixt.”
Suckow picked up two top-five finishes in the KSHSAA Girls State Championships last season, being part of an All-American 200 medley relay team that finished second and finishing fifth in the 100 breaststroke.
