Herman Shoots to First Day Lead at ?Mo?morial

BRYAN, Texas ? Iowa State freshman Laurence Herman sits atop the individual leaderboard at the Tradition's Golf Club after day one of the Texas A&M “Mo”morial. Play was suspended due to darkness late in the second round, but will be played tomorrow morning before the start of the final round.
The course played extremely hard for all teams Saturday after unfavorable weather conditions prevented teams from competing Friday. The Cyclones currently sit in ninth place out of the 15-team tournament field. Michigan State leads all teams with a score of 44 over par, followed closely by Denver (+48) and Tulsa (+55).
ISU's Herman carded a tournament best, 73 and is currently four-over-par heading into tomorrow's final day. The Kortrijk, Belgium native holds a one-stroke lead over Michigan State's Sara Brown. Iowa State's Karly Pinder and Pennapa Pulsawath currently sit in ties for 38th and 41st respectively.
The conclusion of second round action will begin Sunday at 8 a.m, with the final round to follow. Results of tomorrow's action will by posted on cyclones.com following the conclusion of the final round.
