IRVING, Texas - After carding consecutive top-five finishes in her last two tournaments, Pennapa Pulsawath was tabbed the Big 12 Conference Women's Golfer of the Month for tournament play in March.
The Bangkok, Thailand native fired a 74-71-74 (3-over 219) en route to a fourth-place tie at the Mountain View Collegiate in Tuscon, Ariz. The sophomore followed up that performance by carding a career-low 218 (75-71-72) to finish tied for third at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic, Pulsawath's making it the fourth top-5 effort of the season. Her tournament score of 218 was the sixth-lowest, 54-hole score in school history. Pulsawath's 75.8 stroke average this season leads the team.
Pulsawath and the Cyclones have the next couple of weeks off as they prepare for the Big 12 Championships at the end of the month in Stillwater, Okla. This year's championships will be held at the 6,039-yard, par-72 Karsten Creek Golf Course on April 25-27.
