Koll Voted First Team Academic All-American

AMES, Iowa- Iowa State track and field star Lisa Koll is making headlines yet again, as the sophomore was voted to ESPN The Magazine's First-Team Academic All-American Wednesday afternoon. Koll was one of only 15 female university division athletes nominated to the team.
A biology major, Koll graduated Summa Cum Laude in three years with a 3.98 GPA. On the track, Koll had a breakout season highlighted by a NCAA 10,000-meter title and an American collegiate record setting performance in the event on April 4 at the Stanford Invitational with a time of 32:11.13. Koll's season continues this Friday as she competes at the Olympic Trials in Eugene, Ore. Her race is slated for 11:20 p.m. CDT.
