AMES, Iowa- A pair of Iowa State women's golfers have earned National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-America Scholar honors for the 2007-08 season. Kendra Hanson, a native of Forest City, Iowa, and Laurence Herman, a native of Kortrijk, Belgium, were named to the Division I team.
Members of the All-American Scholar team must have a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative GPA and have competed in at least 50 percent of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds.
Hanson recently finished an outstanding four-year career as a Cyclone where she played in 114 rounds in her career, the fifth-most in school history. She won medalist honors at the 2007 Lady Badger Invitational and tallied a 79.5 stroke average this past season. Herman recorded one of the best rookie seasons in ISU history in 2007-08, ranking second on the team with a 78.2 stroke average. She recorded three top-10 finishes in her freshman campaign.
