NORTHFIELD, Minn.- The Iowa State women's swimming and diving team won 12 of 16 events enr oute to a 186-86 victory over St. Olaf Friday night.
A pair of freshmen picked up their first career victories as Mandi Caudle won the 200 butterfly (2:21.27) and Danielle Levings won the 200 backstroke (2:11.61).

"We trained very well this week," said head coach Duane Sorenson. "I am very pleased with the team's performance."
Senior Marni Benson racked up three victories, winning the 200 breaststroke (2:25.66) and the 50 freestyle (24.98) as well as anchoring the winning 200 medley relay team (1:48.59). Senior Lindsay Wegner collected a pair of victories as she anchored the 200 medley relay team and won the 100 backstroke (59.84).
Sophomore Jeli Nixt continued her undefeated season in the 100 breaststroke (1:05.61). Nixt is now seven-for-seven on the season in the event. Fellow sophomores Chelsea Tomek, Jenny Vondenkamp and Kalyn Amundsen all collected their second wins of the season with Tomek taking the 1000 freestyle (10:40.33), Vondenkamp taking the 200 freestyle (1:56.10), and Amundsen winning the 100 freestyle (54.10).
Freshman Taylor Vieau earned the third victory of her career with a win in the 500 freestyle (5:16.49).
In diving, junior Tien Tran picked up her 12th victory of the season in the 1-meter diving competition (271.80). Freshman Jenn Botsch finished second (228.80) and sophomore Justine Anders finished third (207.75).
The Cyclones return to action next Saturday, Jan. 24 when they travel to Missouri for their first Big 12 dual meet of the season. The meet starts at 12 p.m.
