Stefansen Leads Cyclones In Florida

PARRISH, Fla. ? Iowa State's Victoria Stefansen carded an even-72 in the second round of the Central District Invitational in Parrish, Fla. Monday afternoon, to lead the Cyclones into 10th place. Iowa State carded a two-round 617 total in a deep 15-team field that features seven top-25 schools. Stefansen fired the fourth-best score of any individual in round two, and is now in a tie for 13th place.
No. 10 Auburn leads the 15-team field with a 3-over par 579, while No. 14 LSU (589) and No. 8 Duke (592) are in second and third, respectively. The Cyclones are currently in the middle of the pack after shooting a 315 and 302.
Iowa State's Stefansen, a redshirt sophomore from Roervig, Denmark carded a two-round 149 to lead the Cyclones. Auburn's Candace Schepperle, the No. 2 ranked golfer in the country, leads all individuals with a 3-under 139.
Junior Pennapa Pulsawath fired a 78 and 76, to sit in a tie for 38th place. Sophomore Laurence Herman carded a 157, shooting 3-over 75 in the second round, positioning herself in a tie for 49th.
