ISU Finishes 12th At Central District Invite

PARRISH, Fla. ? The Iowa State women's golf team finished in 12th place Tuesday afternoon at the Central District Invitational in Parrish, Fla. The Cyclones ended the tournament with a three-round 943 total after carding a 326 in the final round this afternoon. Iowa State's Victoria Stefansen continued her stellar play, carding a 228 to lead all Cyclones by tying for 22nd in the individual race.

No. 10 Auburn held onto its lead from Monday to win the team title, shooting a three-round 882 total. Top-20 teams LSU, Purdue, Duke and Michigan State rounded out the top five. LSU's Megan McChrystal took home medalist honors, firing a 3-under par 213.

Stefansen has continued to improve her game on the links, placing in the top 25 for the third time this season. Fellow Cyclone Pennapa Pulsawath carded a 78 in the final round and finished in a tie for 41st place (232).

The Cyclone women take a month off before traveling to Waco, Texas for the Baylor Invitational, March 16-18.
