Stefansen Leads Cyclones in Puerto Rico

RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico ? Iowa State sophomore Victoria Stefansen led all Cyclone women's golfers on Monday with a 3-over 75 at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. The Cyclone team is currently in a tie for 11th place out of 16 teams.
Junior Pennapa Pulsawath has carded a two-round total of 154 (76-78), tying for 23rd place. Stefansen moved up after day two (156) and is now in a tie for 33rd. Host Purdue sits atop the leaderboard with a two-round total of 592 (304-288). As for the individuals, Purdue's Maria Hernandez, Indiana's Lauren Nochta, TCU's Prisela Campbell and North Carolina State's Lauren Doughtie are all tied for first place with a 2-over 146.
The third and final round of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic will conclude tomorrow with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start. Check cyclones.com for results and recap following conclusion of the tournament.
