HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – The Iowa State women's golf team is currently in fifth place after round one at the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate on Monday. ISU carded a 310. Leading the Cyclones in eighth place overall, is senior Pennapa Pulsawath, who carded a first-round 75. The University of Denver leads the team race, posting a score of 298.
Also competing for the Cyclones were Victoria Stefansen, Laurence Herman, Kristin Paulson and newcomer Punpaka Phuntumabamrung. Stefansen and Herman are tied at 17th individually, both shooting a 78.
Play resumes tomorrow morning with an additional round of 18 holes.
