AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State track and field team continues competition this weekend at the KU Relays in Lawrence, Kan., the Mt. Sac Relays in Azusa, Calif., and the Beach Invitational in Norwalk, Calif.
The Cyclone distance runners will compete at both the 52nd annual Mt. Sac Relays held inside Hilmer Lodge Stadium Thursday and Friday, and the Beach Invitational Saturday at Cerritos College.
Junior Hillary Bor will run the 3,000-meter steeplechase for the first time this season at the Mt. Sac Relays on Thursday at 6:15 p.m. (PST). Bor currently ranks first nationally in the respective event.
Senior Kiel Uhl is set to run the 10,000-meter run (invitational section) Friday at 7:40 p.m. Senior Guor Marial and sophomore Yonas Mebrahu will also be competing Friday in the 10,000-meter run (Olympic development section) at 8:50 p.m.
The rest of the Cyclones will see action this weekend at the 83rd annual KU Relays, set to take place inside Memorial Stadium.
In Lawrence, junior Josh Koglin and sophomore Zach Richards will compete in the hammer throw at noon (CST) Thursday. Koglin and Richards enter the weekend coming off of first and second-place finishes, respectively, at last weekend's Sun Angel Classic in Tempe, Ariz.
Senior Jenna Caffrey is scheduled to run the Kansas Relays 100-meter hurdles Friday at 9:05 a.m., and sophomore Kianna Elahi will run the 400-meter hurdles Friday at 12:40 p.m.
