EUGENE, Ore. - The Iowa State track and field team concluded action at the NCAA West Regional Championships Saturday inside Hayward Field as multiple Cyclones narrowly missed out on qualifying for the national field.
Three-time All-American Betsy Saina, who already quailfied for the NCAA Championships in the 10,000-meter run just narrowly missed out on qualifying for the national meet in the 5,000-meter run as she ran to a 13th-place finish with a time of 16:15.83. The top 12 competitors qualified for the national final in Des Moines.
