KIEV, Ukraine - Former Cyclone national champions
Jon Reader and
Trent Paulson added to their already impressive trophy case by winning bronze medals at the Ukrainian Memorial Tournament this past weekend.
Reader continues to excel in 2011 with a third-place showing in the 84 kg (185 lbs.) weight class to go along with his 2011 NCAA title and a second-place finish at the U.S. World Team Trials. His only loss of the tournament was to eventual runner-up and teammate Raymond Jordan. The three-time All-American did not drop a single period in his four victories.
Paulson once again showed that he is a world-class competitor with a third-place finish in the 74 kg (163 lbs.) weight class. He only dropped one match during the tournament and managed a convincing victory over Wisconsin's NCAA Champion Andrew Howe.
