Cyclones In Seventh After Two Rounds

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The Iowa State women's golf team is currently in seventh place after two rounds at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational on Sunday. The Cyclones fired a 300 in the first round and a 297 in the afternoon for a 597 tally. The Cyclones are 11 shots behind leader Northwestern (586).
Freshman Chonlada Chayanun paced the Cyclones, carding a 146 to currently sit in a tie for 10th place. An eagle on the 15th hole helped Chayanun fire a 70 in the second round. Senior Kristin Paulson posted a 73 in the second round to help her record a 146. She currently is in a tie for 16th place. Junior Punpaka Phuntumabamrung and sophomore Prima Thammaraks are both tied at 37th.
The tournament will conclude tomorrow with 18 holes.
