McCoy Leads Cyclones in Bill Bergan Pentathlon

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State track and field team kicked off a weekend of competition for the Cyclones with redshirt freshman Kelly McCoy placing eighth in the Bill Bergan Multi-Event pentathlon with a personal best 3378 points. Kansas State's Ryann Krais won the pentathlon with 4074 points.
McCoy also marked a new personal best in the high jump with a jump of five feet six inches.
Redshirt freshman Anna Holtermann, competing unattached, was the only other Iowa State competitor to complete the pentathlon with 3138 points.
The Bill Bergan Invitational is scheduled for a 9:30 a.m. CST start time tomorrow beginning with the men's weight throw. Live results are available for the meet, and results will be posted on cyclones.com at the conclusion of the day's events.
