IOWA CITY, Iowa- The Cyclone divers finished competition at the Hawkeye Invitational Sunday afternoon with freshman Elyse Brouillette leading the team with a sixth-place finish on platform. Brouillette finished with a score of 232.85 points, which moves her to fourth overall in Cyclone history.
"Overall I was really happy with how the team did," diving coach Jeff Warrick said. "They did all the things we wanted them to do."
Senior Marley Dobyns took 12th-place with a score of 206.80, a personal-best for Dobyns as well as the seventh-best overall score in Cyclone history.
"Just overall, Elyse and Marley making the Iowa State all-time top-10 list in this event, it was just great that they had those performances," Warrick said. "Both Elyse and Marley were really consistent and did everything we have talked about in practice."Â
Also competing for the Cyclones was Megan Cohea (194.40) and Dani Davis (159.30). The women took 17th and 21st, respectively.Â
"It was Megan Cohea's personal-best score so that was great to see also," Warrick said.Â
The Iowa State swimming and diving team will be back in the pool in Iowa City on Friday Dec. 7th for the annual Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series. The meet is slated to begin at 6 p.m. CST.Â
