AMES, Iowa- The Iowa State jumpers and multi-events athletes have been making substantial progress leading up to the Big 12 Track and Field Indoor Championships which will be held in College Station, Texas Friday and Saturday. All the events are looking to pick up the pace and have good performances this weekend.
Along with the high jump and long jump competitions, all three Cyclones will also compete in the pentathlon. Andreassen leads the Cyclones into the Big 12 Championships with hopes of placing in the top eight after recording a 10th-place finish at last year's Big 12 Indoor Championships.
“Jordan is going to give us our best opportunity to score points based on her history,” Iowa State jumps and multi-events coach
Pete Herber said. “She knows what she getting herself in to and is ready to have a heck of a meet.”
Herber has expectations for McCoy and Woelber to have some nice personal bests and is looking for them to have good performances.
“As a whole we have been constantly improving and getting better week by week,” Herber said. “We will be hoping for the best this weekend and are ready to compete with Big 12 competition.”
