COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Iowa State women's golf team is currently tied for fourth place after two rounds at the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational in Columbus, Ohio.
The Cyclones, ranked 37th nationally by Golfstat, were tied for second at the end of the first round after carding a 310. ISU fired a 307 in the second 18 for a two-round 617 tally. Ohio State is in first place at 605 in a field consisting of five top-50 teams.
Iowa State's Punpaka Phuntumabamrung had a solid first day. The junior is currently in second place after posting a 149 (77-72). Phuntumabamrung is five strokes behind the leader Rachel Rohana of Ohio State. Sophomore Sasikarn On-iam is tied for 16th at 156 (76-80) and sophomore Prima Thammaraks fired a 157 (82-75) to sit in a tie for 21st.
The tournament will conclude tomorrow with the final 18 holes.
