EUGENE, Ore. - Former Iowa State NCAA champion Lisa Uhl advanced to the finals of the 5,000-meters by finishing sixth in her preliminary race Monday at the U.S. Olympic Trials. Uhl's time was 15:48.16. The women's 5,000-meter final will be at 9:15 p.m. CDT Thursday on the Hayward Field Track. Koll has already earned a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team for the London Games next month.
Iowa State's Kianna Elahi will compete Thursday in the opening round of the women's 400-meter hurdles at 7:30 p.m. CDT. Cyclones Danielle Frere and Christina Hillman will compete in the opening round of the women's shot put Thursday at 7:40 p.m. CDT.
