Cyclones Third After Two Rounds at VCU Shootout

RICHMOND, Va. – The Iowa State men's golf team is in the hunt after two rounds at the VCU Shootout. The Cyclones got off to a strong start today behind top-10 performances from sophomores Scott Fernandez (T2-142) and Sam Daley (T9-146).

The Cyclones are in third place after two rounds at 591, 11 strokes behind current leader Wichita State and four strokes behind second-place Virginia Tech.

Fernandez (72-70) and Daley (71-75) shot season low 18-hole scores and are providing a strong anchor for the Cyclones going into the third and final round tomorrow.
