Cyclones Tie For Eighth at David Toms Invite

BATON ROUGE, La.- The Iowa State men's golf team tied for eighth at the David Toms Intercollegiate after firing a 296 in the final round this afternoon. The Cyclones ended the tournament with a 54-hole total of 919. LSU was the team champion at 891.

Sophomore Ruben Sondjaja was ISU's top finisher, tying for 17th at 227 (80-74-73). Senior Sam Daley carded a third-round 77 to finish in a tie for 25th at 229. Benjamin Taylor of LSU was the individual champion, firing rounds of 74-69-71.

Iowa State sophomore Nick Voke shot a 1-under 71 in the final round to move him into a tie for 33rd (232).

The Cyclones have concluded their fall campaign and will be back in action at the Alumni Challenge in Rio Verde, Arizona on January 18th.
