PALM SPRINGS, Calif. – The Iowa State men's golf team shot a 291 today at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate to finish the tournament in sixth place at 881. TCU made a big run today to win the tournament by one shot over Texas Tech with a score of 855.

Senior Sam Daley shot a 74 today for a 54-hole score of 219 to lead the Cyclones. Daley finished in a tie for 16th. Nick Voke fired four birdies today on his way to a 70 to move into a tie for 22nd (220). Clement Sordet of Texas Tech held on to earn medalist honors at 205.

Senior Scott Fernandez shot a 223 (77-72-73) for a tie for 34th. Sophomore Ruben Sondjaja was just a stroke behind Fernandez for the tournament (223) after a 74 in the final round this afternoon (T39).

The Cyclones return to action in Tucson, Ariz., for the National Invitation Tournament on Feb. 28-Mar. 2.
