Cyclones Finish 11th at Dick McGuire Invitational

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Iowa State women's golf team finished 11th at the Dick McGuire Invitational with a three-round 907 total Tuesday afternoon.

The Cyclones rallied with a final-round 294 (+2) this afternoon, their best showing in the three-day event. Senior Chonlada Chayanun posted a final-round 4-under 69 today to pace the Cyclones.

Northwestern won the team title at 868, eight shots better than UNLV.

Chayanun ended the tournament in a tie for 19th place at 222. Chayanun had four birdies and 14 pars on her card this afternoon. It was the fifth sub-70 round of her career. True freshman Celia Barquin joined Chayanun in a tie for 19th place with rounds of 74-76-72.

Junior Cajsa Persson tied for 44th at 228.

The Cyclones are back in action, Oct. 6-7 at the Windy City Classic.
