STANFORD, Calif. – The No. 14 Iowa State women's golf team is in 10th place at 594 after two rounds at the Stanford Intercollegiate. The Cyclones trimmed six shots of their first round tally with a second-round 294 this afternoon.
Stanford remains in the lead for the team race at 568.
The tournament is packed with the nine teams ranked in the latest Golfweek top-25 rankings (No. 1 USC, No. 2 Georgia, No. 3 Northwestern, No. 4 Arizona, No. 9 Stanford, No. 11 Arizona State, No. 12 UCLA, No. 14 Iowa State and No. 21 Washington).
Nattapan Siritrai and Parinda Phokan both advanced up the individual leaderboard by carding a pair of 72s this afternoon. Both are tied for 26th at 147. Siritrai had two birdies to help her finish 1-over in the second round.
Celia Barquin and Cajsa Persson are both tied for 51st at 150.
The third and final round concludes tomorrow.
