Last Time Out
The Cyclones picked up their first win of the season in their home opener, knocking off Omaha, 168-109. Iowa State was dominant from the start, earning the top two finishes in the first five events and 12-of-15 events of the meet. Cyclones across the board contributed to the victory, as Iowa State won events in every stroke and had members of each class post at least two individual event wins.
Diving Deeper with South Dakota and TCU
South Dakota comes to Ames on the heels of two-consecutive losses, which were preceded by a pair of wins to open the season. Freshman Theresa Godlewski is off to a fast start for the Coyotes, tallying seven top-two finishes in individual events and swimming on six relay squads that finished in the top-two. Greysen Hertting leads South Dakota on the diving boards, finishing with the top Coyote score in all eight diving events this season. Iowa State owns an 8-0 advantage in the all-time series, including 7-0 record under Sorenson.
Coming off a loss to Kansas to open its Big 12 slate, TCU will face off with the Cyclones for just the third time ever, with each team having won once in the previous two meetings. Sophomore breaststroker Devin Newton has carried over her success from last year, totaling eight top-two finishes between individual events and relays. In the diving well, senior Kristen Connolly is excelling for the Horned Frogs this season, winning all four diving events she's competed in during dual meets this year.

On deck for the Cyclones is the Big Challenge, which will send the swimmers to Topeka, Kansas and the divers to Lawrence, Kansas, for a multi-day competition spanning Nov. 20-22.
