AMES, Iowa – The No. 8 Iowa State wrestling team (7-2, 1-1 Big 12) will wrap up Big 12 regular season action on Saturday as they face West Virginia (6-7, 0-2 Big 12) in Morgantown. The dual has been dubbed Cradles for Cancer. It's an event that will look to raise awareness for those who are suffering from cancer, and for those that have lost their lives to the disease.

Dante Rodriguez will get a shot at knocking off a nationally ranked opponent in No. 13 Michael Morales. Rodriguez is coming off a solid performance against the Sooners, posting a 17-6 major decision over Trae Blackwell. Rodriguez now has 11 bonus-point victories on the year, including nine wins by fall.
No. 2 Kyven Gadson will look to push is dual winning streak up to 40 matches on Saturday. He will have to face a tough opponent in Sophomore Jake A. Smith. Smith is unranked, but currently holds a 21-6 record on the year.
Scouting West Virginia
West Virginia will be looking to bounce back in their final conference dual of the season after dropping back-to-back meetings against Big 12 foes Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
The Mountaineers bring a young squad into Saturday's dual. They feature five freshmen or sophomores in their starting lineup, with only one senior.
The lone senior slotted in WVU's starting line-up is Michael Morales at 141. Morales is currently ranked No. 13 at his weight class according to Intermat. His 10 bonus-point wins this season are a team high.

- Iowa State wrestlers earned bonus points in four of their six wins against Oklahoma, with Earl Hall (fall), Dante Rodriquez (major decision), Lelund Weatherspoon (major decision) and Kyven Gadson (fall).
- Earl Hall is undefeated in the New Year, wrestling to a perfect 9-0 record through the Southern Scuffle and four dual matches. Hall has defeated five ranked wrestlers during the streak, including No. 2 Cody

- Gadson scored a fall over Oklahoma's Andrew Dixon, Saturday, marking his eighth bonus-point victory in nine dual meet matches on the 2014-15 season.
- At the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational, Iowa State was one of two schools (Minnesota) to place at least five individuals in the top-5 at their respective weight classes. The team's showing was highlighted by four top-3 finishes and a title-winning performance from Gadson at 197.
- This season, Cyclone wrestlers have accounted for 165 bonus-point victories (BPVs), scoring 92 pins, 25 tech-falls and 48 major decisions. Five Cyclones currently hold winning percentages of over .800 in Gadson (18-1, .947), M. Moreno (16-2, .889), Weatherspoon (13-2, .867), Hall (20-4, .833) and G. Moreno (20-5, .800).
- Gadson has continued his dual-competition dominance in 2015, riding a 39-match dual winning streak.
The Waterloo, Iowa, native has won 15 of his 19 matches via bonus points this season, scoring nine pins, a tech-fall and five major decisions.
- M. Moreno is seeing similar success on the mat, scoring three major decisions, three tech-falls and four pins on the year. The Urbandale, Iowa, native is second on the team in bonus-point victories (10).
- Moreno and Gadson are two of just nine wrestlers nationally to win 30 matches and earn a spot on the NCAA All-America podium in each of the past two seasons. Both are on pace to do so again for the third-straight season, earning top-10 rankings in every national poll.
