ISU Adds Israel National Team Member to 2015 Class

AMES, Iowa – Guy Shilon of the Israel National Team is the latest addition to the 2014-15 signing class, the Iowa State swimming and diving coaching staff announced. Shilon attends Hof Ha'Sharon High School and swims for the Hapoel Jerusalem/Leonid Kaufman club team.
In 2014, Shilon medaled at the Israel National Championships and qualified for the Junior Olympic Games in China in the 200 backstroke.
During the 2013 Junior European Championships in Poznan, Poland, Shilon reached the semifinals in the 200 backstroke. In that same year, Shilon earned gold in the 200 backstroke at the Israel National Championships, while claiming third at the Multinational Junior Meeting in Kiev, Ukraine.
Shilon has also earned gold during the 2011 Multinational Youth Meeting, a 2011 national competition in France and 2012 competitions in Spain and Bosnia.
