Alanna Campbell Signs With ISU Women's Golf

AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State women's golf team signed one of the top players in New Zealand in Alanna Campbell, head coach Christie Martens announced today.
Campbell will enroll at Iowa State in the fall of 2017.
"Alanna is a fantastic addition to our team," Martens said. "She was heavily recruited and will make an immediate impact in our lineup. Alanna has a fantastic attitude and truly loves the game of golf. She comes from a great family and has developed a great relationship with our team. We can't wait to see her in the cardinal and gold for the next four years!"
Campbell, whose home course is Omanu Golf Club in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand, has established herself as one of the elite golfers of her age group. She currently ranks 379th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking and finished third at the John Jones Steel Harewood Open in October.
Off the course, Campbell recently earned the Lydia Ko Scholarship, booking her a trip to Orlando, Fla., in January to spend time with and receive advice from Ko, the current top-ranked player in women's golf.
