COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Julie Dickinson finished in 22nd place to lead the Cyclone divers on the three-meter board Tuesday at the NCAA Zone 'D' Diving Championships in College Station, Texas.
Dickinson's finish is a career-best and is up 17 spots from her result at the 2015 Zone Championships. Her score of 274.25 also beat out her previous career-high at Zones by nearly 47 points and came within 4.6 points of qualifying for finals.
The Clive, Iowa, native's placement is the best on the three-meter board by an Iowa State diver since Tien Tran's 10th-place finish in 2010.
Elyse Brouillette took 31st on the day, tallying a score of 258.90 points to come within 10 points of her career-best Zones score.
In her first three-meter board appearance at the NCAA Zone Diving Championships, Becky Stochl notched a score of 222.25 to finish 47th.
