Golfers Earn Academic All-Big 12 Honors

IRVING, Texas – A total of five Iowa State golfers were named to 2016 Academic All-Big 12 teams, the Big 12 announced this morning.
On the men's side, Collin Foster, Ruben Sondjaja and Nick Voke all earned a spot on the Academic All-Big 12 first team. Foster is a four-time first-team Academic All-Big 12 honoree, while Sondjaja and Voke made the first-team for the second time in their career.
Capturing First Team Academic All-Big 12 honors for the Cyclone women were Celia Barquin and Cajsa Persson. Persson is a three-time recipient of the award.
The men have one final tune-up at the Hawkeye Invitational April 16-17 before traveling to Trinity, Texas, April 29-May 1 for the Big 12 Championship. The women are back in action, April 22-24 in San Antonio, Texas at the Big 12 Championship.
