BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The No. 17 Iowa State women's golf team is in 15th place after two rounds at the NCAA Shoal Creek Regional in Birmingham, Alabama.
The Cyclones have a 36-hole 634 total.
No. 8 Northwestern is currently in first place at 590, three shots ahead of No. 22 Florida State at 596.
The low six teams after 54 holes will advance to the 2016 NCAA Championship, May 20-25 at the Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Oregon.
Freshman Parinda Phokan leads the Cyclones. She is currently in a tie for 46th at 156. Cajsa Persson moved into a tie for 53rd after posting a 78 today. She has a 36-hole 157 total.
The third and final round begins tomorrow morning.
