Cyclones Move Up, Finish Fourth At Windon Memorial

SKOKIE, Ill. – The Iowa State men's golf team (283-284-278=845) finished the Windon Memorial Championship in fourth place after completing the final round today. Penn State (280-277-278=835) and Northwestern (276-286-273=835) tied for first.
The Cyclones jumped up five spots after being tied for ninth after the first round.
True freshman Lachlan Barker (70-67-70=207) led the way for the Cyclones, recording his second-straight top-10 performance (T3rd), one shot behind the low tally of the tournament (206). Barker fired a career-low 207, including his first sub-70 score with a second-round 67. He recorded seven birdies and an eagle during the tournament.
Senior Denzel Ieremia (71-73-66=210) was not far behind Barker, finishing tied for 10th thanks to a final-round 66. Ieremia has three top-10 finishes in four tournaments this season and nine in his career.
Danny Daniels (71-72-72=215) and Frank Lindwall (72-74-70=216) rounded out the scoring for the Cyclones and finished tied for 29th and 33rd, respectively.
This was the final competition for Iowa State for the fall season. They will resume play in January.
