AMES, Iowa – Iowa State swimming and diving head coach Duane Sorenson announced his program's schedule for the 2017-18 season. The schedule features five opportunities to watch the team in action at Beyer Hall.
The season kicks off on Oct. 13 with the Cardinal and Gold Meet, followed by a trip to Nebraska on Oct. 21.
Iowa State then returns home to host a pair of meets, beginning with an Oct. 27 showdown with Nebraska-Omaha, followed by the first home double-dual meet of the year on Nov. 10 against TCU and South Dakota.
The Iowa State divers will attend the Minnesota Diving Invitational and the Mizzou Invitational for the second-straight year, taking place on Nov. 11 and Nov. 16-18, respectively. The swimmers will compete in the Kansas Classic from Nov. 17-19.
Iowa State will then take on a pair of in-state opponents as the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series meet returns to Ames on Dec. 8, followed by a trip to Cedar Falls on Jan. 13 to take on Northern Iowa. ISU then heads to Morgantown on Jan. 27 for another double dual, this time with West Virginia and Villanova.
The Cyclones will wrap up their regular season at home with a two-day dual meet against Kansas on Feb. 2-3. Day two of the meet will serve as senior day for Iowa State.
Iowa State will take a couple weeks off in preparation for the 2018 Big 12 Championships in Austin, Texas, taking place Feb. 21-24.
