Cyclones Fifth After Two Rounds At Northern Intercollegiate

SUGAR GROVE, Ill. – The Iowa State men's golf team (286-291=577) is in fifth place after two rounds at the Northern Intercollegiate. Marquette (274-272=546) leads the pack, 22 strokes ahead of second place Virginia (277-291=568).
The Cyclones played 36 holes today, carding a 286 in the first round followed by a second-round 291.
Denzel Ieremia and Frank Lindwall led the way for the Cyclones, both finishing the day at 1-under for the tournament. Lindwall (69-74=143) shot the first sub-70 round of his career in the morning. Ieremia (72-71=143) matched Lindwall and notched his team-leading third eagle of the year.
Iowa State will play the final 18 holes tomorrow.
