AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State tennis team (8-10, 0-3 Big 12) will head to Des Moines on Thursday to take on the Drake Bulldogs. The match will begin at 5 p.m. at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.Â

Iowa State will receive a break from Big 12 action in its meeting with Drake. The Bulldogs, who are part of the Missouri Valley Conference, currently hold a record of 10-4. In its 55-match series with Drake, Iowa State has captured 25 wins over the Bulldogs. The Cyclones have won all four meetings during the past two seasons.
The Last Serve
Last weekend, ISU dropped a tough match to the Mountaineers of West Virginia, losing 4-1. Although No. 1 duo Maty Cancini and Regina Espindola were able to secure a 6-3 win, the No. 2 and 3 Cyclone pairings fell in their matches, giving the doubles point to West Virginia. Freshman Ekaterina Repina was the only player to win in singles action. Repina went on to defeat Sofia Duran, 6-4, 6-4, at the No. 4 position.Â
